The
Plainview municipal water system is comprised of approximately 14 miles
of water main, ranging in sizes from 4 inch to 8 inch.
Water is supplied to the distribution system by four city wells, and is
stored in a 250,000 gallon water tower. Approximately
715 service connections provide water service to the residential and commercial
customers of the City. No treatment of any kind is necessary to make the water safe
for consumption, and no chemicals are added.
The
City conducts water quality tests as required by the State of Nebraska, and the
