The Plainview Waste Water Collection System contains 12 miles of mostly 8 inch sewer main that gravity feeds to the waste stabilization lagoon located south east of Plainview along State Highway 13.  The simplicity and low maintenance  requirements of the system allows the city to maintain some of the lowest rates in the state.
